Meet Natalie

The Quirky Teapot first opened in November 2021. It was my love for the place that has made it all happen – Staplehurst Grange, the farm and the building that became the tea room itself. So I decided to create a 'vintage inspired' experience that fitted in with the surroundings. And this is a lifestyle for me. I can balance being a good mum, partner and help around the farm too – as one of my signs in the tearooms says "Life is like a Pot of Tea, It's all in how you make it!"

I've always had a love of all things vintage, from the clothing & hairstyles, to homeware –  and of course, the music! There's a romance about the days gone by that I wanted to bring to the tea room. There's a wonderful relaxed atmosphere here and I love it when customer's sing along to our retro playlists.

Or sometimes you might want to enjoy the piece of the surroundings with a quiet pot of tea outside – the beautiful roses and an occasional visit by a red squirrel  create a tranquil experience. And of course, it's about the food and drink too. The whole team are passionate about serving you delicious drinks, great snacks, hot lunches and of course, traditional afternoon teas.

We hope you come and visit us soon.

Staplehurst Grange

An historic estate of approximately 150 acres, Staplehurst Grange is a place of rare beauty well away from the noise and bustle of modern life. Its historic buildings, large courtyard and beautiful roses greet you as you arrive. And the Grange is a working sheep farm too – so on your way down the drive you may see some of our special sheep breeds as they graze in the fields.

And of course, it's because we have sheep here that we have a strict no dogs policy – only assistant dogs are allowed, thank you.

Rattlemouse Antiques

If you come and visit us at The Quirky Teapot you might also like to pop in to Rattlemouse Antiques who are also here at the Grange. Rattlemouse is a very high quality and well-stocked antiques emporium run by the lovely Louise.

Blossom & Twigs

And just across the yard we also have Blossom & Twigs. A delightful 'florist with a twist', you should come and meet Jenni and Tracey and see their beautiful stock of dried and forever flowers, foliage and arrangements.
